The photo was snapped during the Strasburg Tigers-Willshire Panthers game at the State Tournament in Columbus. It shows the Tigers never gave up; although, fighting an uphill battle against a team of great size. Under the basket Junior center Lloyd "Mule" Haas (#4), is seen getting away a jump shot which was good for 2 points, while Senior forward John Miller (#3) and Senior guard Charles "Babe" Reiger (#11), were at hand to followup if the shot had been missed.
STRASBURG - Although Willshire, Strasburg's 1st opponents at the State meet, were giants in stature; they were sadly outclassed by the foot-work and ball-handling of the Tigers. Thus the size of the opponents together with the inability of Strasburg to hit the hoop on good shots, spelled defeat and ended a very successful season for the Strasburg Tigers (9-2)..
