DOVER - The Strasburg Tigers (4-1) (42-9) with Senior forward Paul "Pete" Haswell hitting his stride for the 1st time since the tournament started, led his team to it's 2nd Consolation Tournament Championship (1935 and 1938) rolling over the Midvale Blue Devils (3-2) (24-13) 46-34.  The Tigers led the entire game.

Strasburg started the 1st period off with a 9 point lead 13-4 and was still cruising by the end of halftime 22-12.  Bill Stevenson, Midvale center, took the Blue Devils' offense in his own hands during the 3rd period to score 5 field goals, but the Tigers clicked well enough to hold a 5-point 31-25 margin at the period's end.  Final quarter saw Haswell score 9 points and Miller 6 for Strasburg to round out the 46 total as Midvale's scattered points gave the Blue Devils a total of 34 markers.

Game honors went to Strasburg's Haswell as he score 20 points, while his teammate John Miller hit for 10 markers.  Stevenson piled up 14 markers, all in the 1st 3 stanzas for Midvale, while forward John Hawkins hit an additional 9 points.
