38 - Midvale Slams Dundee 43-17 (2-19-38)









DOVER - The Midvale Blue Devils (1-1) (22-12) trying to make another comeback through the Consolation Tournament, took-out the Dundee Bulldogs (0-2) (12-20) 43-17.  The Blue Devils led the entire game.

Rushing to a 5-point 1st quarter lead, Midvale led 10-5.  The Blue Devils increased there lead by halftime to a 12 points as the scoreboard read 25-13.  In the 3rd stanza, the Bulldogs were limited to only a free throw and the Blue Devils more-or-less had the game all wrapped up starting the 4th quarter.  The Midvale defense held Dundee to a mere 4 points the 2nd half.

Midvale center Bill Stevenson racked up 16 points for game honors.  He had 15 against the Baltic Eagles.  Forward John Hawkins scored another 11 points helping to get the team over 40 points.  Center Denver Smith was the only Bulldog to hit double figures as he hit 10 points.
