DOVER - A closely contested game between the Midvale Blue Devils (3-1) (24-12) and the Bolivar Cardinals (1-2) (21-16) with the Blue Devils winning out in the last minutes of play was the feature of Saturday afternoon's Consolation game of the Class B tournament. Midvale edged Bolivar 35-34.
The Midvale-Bolivar game started out fast with both teams battling hard and scoring 10 points in the 1st period, but at the half, Midvale had grabbed a 20-12 advantage. The Cardinals started clicking and cut Blue Devil lead to 25-24 in the 3rd period, but Midvale matched the Cardinals in the last period as each team scored an even 10 points.
Center Bill Stevenson and forward John Hawkins led Midvale with 10 points apiece, while Bolivar forward Glen Lebold picked up game honors leading his team with 13 markers.
