38 - Gnaden Trounces Dundee 47-28 (2-18-38)

DOVER - The Dundee Bulldogs (0-1) (12-19) made a strong bid against the Gnadenhutten Indians (1-0) (16-17) for the 1st half and then fell back; although, guard Dick Machan, Dundee star, stood out as one of the evening's best performances.

The Indians led 10-6 at the end of the 1st quarter of play and only 14-12 by halftime as the Bulldog outfit kept clicking with Machan as the sparkplug.  Gnaden pulled out to a 10-point lead in the 3rd period and then coasted through the final.

Junior forward Leland Goettge led the Indians with 15 points, while Senior forward Oliver Kohl and Senior center Ed Kohl also scored in double figures for Gnaden as Oliver hit the hoops for 12 points and Ed followed that with 11 markers.  Machan picked up game honors scorching the hoops for 17 points in a losing cause for Dundee, while teammate center Denver Smith tossed in 9.
