35 - Port Sends Ragersville Home 18-15 (2-23-35)
DOVER - The Ragersville Pirates (0-2) (0-2) had its day at the tournament ended on Saturday when the Pirate cagers dropped an 18-15 decision to the Port Washington Purple Riders (1-1) (4-10) in the 1st Consolation game of the tourney. The Purple Riders led the entire game. Port Washington rolled to a 6-2 1st quarter edge, while Ragersville closed to within 3 points by halftime (10-7). The 3rd stanza ended at 14-9. The Pirates out-scored the hustling Purple Riders 6 to 4, but couldn't close the gap.
Senior forward Russ Glazer paced Port Washington with 10 points (5-0-10), while center Andrews led Ragersville with 6 markers (2 field goals and 2 free throws.
