35 - Baltic Skates Past Stone Creek 21-12 (2-23-35)
DOVER - Cracking down hard in the 3rd period when they held their opponents scoreless, the Baltic Eagles (1-1) (5-11), led by Head Coach Paul Sheetz, eliminated the Stone Creek Panthers (0-2) (1-5) from the Consolation Department of the Tuscarawas County Class B Basketball Tournament by a score of 21-12. The Eagles kept the lead the entire game. Baltic led 4-3 in the 1st quarter, and held the lead at halftime 10-7. The Panthers were held scoreless during the 3rd period, while the Eagles doubled their output with the score showing 20-7 ending the quarter.
None of the players in the game were able to score 8 points. Guards Edgar "Red" Ott and 6-foot Junior Harry Lower led Baltic in scoring with 7 (2 field goals and 3 free throws) and 6 points (3 field goals). Forward Ed Pfeiffer led Stone Creek with 4 points (2 field goals).
