34 - Tusky's Defense Stops New Cumberland 33-11 (2-17-34)









DOVER - In the second Consolation contest, the Tuscarawas Broncos (1-1) (2-11) took-out the New Cumberland Trojans (0-2) (0-4) 33-11 due mostly to their fne defensive play.  The Broncos completely shutout the Trojans in the 1st period as the score totaled 7-0.  In the 2nd quarter, New Cumberland finally got on the scoreboard and the half ended 20-4, Broncos.  The Tuscarawas lead was extended in the 3rd stanza 27-7.

The Broncos were led by forwards Junior Ralph Moore and Freshman Allen Veigel who both hit the 8 point mark (4 field goals each).  Forward Yanice and guard Socco both hit the 4 point count (2 field goals each) to lead the New Cumberland Trojans.
