DOVER - The Gnadenhutten Indians (1-0) (18-19) were very impressive and the Stone Creek Golden Panthers (0-1) (4-12) were very disappointing in their game which saw the Gnaden lads easily win by a 39-21 score.  The Indians were hot, scoring from all angles, while the Panthers were completely off form, unable to dent the net, fumbling passes and throwing the ball away time after time.

Gnadenhutten led 13-3 at the end of the 1st quarter and was leading 22-6 at the half.  Stone Creek more than doubled their 1st half total, but was still down in the 3rd stanza 28-13.  The Indians outscored the Panthers in the 4th quarter 11-8.  In his 1st tournament effort this year, Senior forward Ed Lorenz, Stone Creek scoring ace, was held to only 3 field goals and a free throw by the Indian defense.

Senior forward Bob Miller led Gnadenhutten with 14 points picking up game scoring honors, while Lorenz, forward Gil Mizer and center Turner all scored 7 points each for Stone Creek.  Indian Senior center Earl Crites was also in double figures hitting 10 points.
