43 - Tuscarawas County Class B Basketball Status

DOVER - Tuscarawas County's most uncertain basketball season...you never know from one day to the next who's playing who or whether they'll play...continues this week with 6 contests slated and with one of the county Class B combinations definitely dropping the sport and another still undecided.

The Mineral City Tigers has given up on the sport for this year because of lack of a coach and the Tuscarawas Broncos...which lost its Head Coach Charmis Davis who left to work in a defense plant, is the undecided school.  The plant Davis is to work in is not complete and as a result he is back for a few weeks.  If the school has a coach, it will play.

THIS WEEK'S SCHEDULE

Gnadenhutten Indians vs West Lafayette Generals
Dundee Bulldogs vs Strasburg Tigers
Gnadenhutten Indians vs Midvale Blue Devils
Dundee Bulldogs vs Sugarcreek-Shanesville Pirates
Port Washington Purple Riders vs Stone Creek Golden Panthers

Gas rationing has already taken a 1st rap at the sport when the Newcomerstown District Rationing Board rejected the application of Stone Creek for additional gas.  The board also has jurisdiction over Newcomerstown and Port Washington High Schools.
