33 - Strasburg Knocks Off Coshocton Sacred Heart 47-28 (3-11-33)










DENNISON - The Strasburg Tigers (7-0) made its way to the final game by defeating a tough Byesville Colt team 25-18 in the opening round and outclassing the Coshocton Sacred Heart Catholics 47-28 in the semi-final.  The Tigers walked through the Sacred Heart Club with ease after warming up in the 1st quarter when they scored only 7 points to Coshocton's four.

Led by Sophomore forward Bill "Doddles" Haas, the Champions rolled up a count of 18-11 at halftime and 31-18 at the close of the 3rd quarter.  Hass was high scorer with 13 points made on 6 buckets and a free throw.  Junior forward John "Johnny" Studer and Junior guard Elwyn Rieger had 11 each for the Tigers.  Studer with 3 field goals and 5 foul tosses and Reiger with 2 buckets and 7 free throws.  Forward J. Bader was high for Coshocton with 9 points, scored on 4 field goals and a foul shot.  Every member on each team was in the scoring column!
