33 - Dundee Falls 30-27 to Cadiz (3-3-33)
DOVER - The Dundee Bulldogs (1-2) played sweet ball in the Eastern Ohio Sectional Class B Basketball Tournament fracas at Legion Hall last night only to be downed 30-27 in the final minutes of play by Cadiz. The Bulldogs, the only Tuscarawas County team to fall by the wayside, took a 7-4 lead at the 1st quarter and at halftime still commanded a 3-point lead, 15-12. They increased their advantage to 22-16 at the 3rd period mark, but midway in the 4th quarter the winners had the score all bundled up at 25-24.
Center People of the Huskies then broke away for 2 sucker shots and forward Kirkland added a field goal to ice the game with a 30-24 lead. The Bulldogs then added a foul and a filed goal and in the last minute missed 2 foul tries, booting aay their outside chance for victory. Forward Jim Bradley of Dundee led all scorers with five field goals and 3 free throws for 13 points with Kirkland of Cadiz coming in 2nd with 4 field goals and 4 foul tosses for 12 points.
