36 - Strasburg Creams Dundee 35-21 (2-29-36)

Strasburg Tigers Senior Forward John "Sparkie" Sparks hit the hoops for 13 points in leading his team to victory over the scrapping Dundee Bulldogs 35-21.

DOVER - Six-year Head Coach Paul M. Roby's Strasburg Tigers (3-1) (35-7) advanced to the Consolation Tournament Championship by defeating the Dundee Bulldogs (2-2) (12-16) by 14 points with the scoreboard showing 35-21 in the 2nd contest on Saturday afternoon.  The Tigers were in fine form for the semi-final game and displayed good basketball skill.

With Strasburg placing 7th in the League with only a 5-5 record this season, Coach Roby appears to have whipped his team back into shape for a run at the Consolation Championship with a 3-1 tournament record so far.  Dundee showed a record of 6-4 while placing 5th in the League standings and was a consistent problem knocking off top teams in the League and during tournament play.

Senior foward John "Sparkie" Sparks led his team with 13 points (5 field goals and 3 free throws) and tieing Dundee's center Dick Kobel for game honors with 13 points.  Tiger forward Charles "Bud" Reiger also hit double figures as he hit the rings for another 10 points (4 field goals and 2 free throws).  Kobel's 13 points (5 field goals and 3 free throws) was high for Dundee.
