It was the Indians' initial start in the 24th Annual Touirnament, while the Red Birds won their opener Tuesday over the Port Washington Purple Riders 52-42.
In other tussles last night the Sugarcreek-Shanesville Pirates turned back the stubborn Mineral City Tigers 44-25 in tourney openers for both teams and the Port Washington Purple Riders galloped to an 85-33 victory over the Stone Creek Golden Panthers in the beginning of the Consolation Division. The Panthers becfame the 1st team to drop out of tournament play as they had lost previously to Tuscarawas 102-23.
