DOVER - The Midvale Blue Devils (3-1) had practically no opposition in Augusta and won easily by a whopping 36 points. The Augusta Blue Devils made only 3 field goals and all of them were chalked up by forward Brown, in sensational overhead style. So close was Midvale's guarding that Augusta got only 17 shots at the basket and all were taken from beyond the foul line. Midvale held the opposition scoreless in the 1st quarter and to 3 points in the second. They were also held scoreless in the 4th session.
Head Coach Paul Roby started sending in his 2nd stringers as early as the 1st period and before the game had progressed beyond the middle of the 3rd quarter had an entire team of substitutes on the floor. The game was uninteresting from the standpoint of the fans' viewpoint and Midvale had little opportunity to really demonstrate their class because of the weak opposition. The Augusta boys never gave up the ship; although, it was apparent that all was lost, after the 1st few minutes.
