DOVER - After spending an entire season in the County Class B League during which time they swept all the teams in the League to win 9 games undefeated, Minderal City (0-1) fell the victim of tournament upset in its game with Midvale (1-0) at 8PM.  The Blue Devil win was by 8 points and Mineral City trailed the entire route.

Roy Smith, invincible Midvale forward, took charge of the situation from the initial tip-off and playing a cool conservative game, led his squadron to a 6-2 advantage over the Mineralites in the 1st period.  Midvale strengthened more than ever in the 2nd period to score 7 more points, while the Tigers counted only 2 more on a field goal, the half ending 13-4.  The 3rd quarter was even, both teams counting one action shot and 1 foul toss for 3 points.  The 3rd quarter ended 16-7, Midvale.  Mineral City made a desperate attempt to come back in the 4th, but their rally was too belated.  However, they outscored Midvale by 1 point.  Forward Elmer Harris and Gene Gordon played the best ball for Mineral City, while Roy Smith, aided by Morgan on the wing forward and Fabiano at guard, were Midvale's stars.  Fabiano played a great ball game and hurried Harris of Mineral City on all of his shots.
