DOVER - The Annual Tuscarawas County Class B Basketball Tournament will be held at the American Legion Hall Friday and Saturday February 22nd and 23rd with all 10 of the county's Class B League schools entered. Ralph Lohrman, this city, Principal of Strasburg schools has charge of the tourney. The meet is to begin on Friday afternoon. There will be no morning tournament games as in the past when teams were compelled to play as early 9AM. Afternoon play on Friday will begin at 1PM. Evening games will be played at 7PM.
Present plans are that 9 games will be played to complete the tournament. On Friday afternoon there will be 3games and on that night 3 more will follow. The semi-finals will be played Saturday at 1PM and 2PM with the finals Saturday night at 8PM. The 2 teams losing in the semi-finals will play the preliminary to the evening finals. Drawings for the tourney will be held in the office of the county school superintendent at New Philadelphia on next Saturday, February 16th at 2PM. Harry L.Wieck, of Canton, well known referee, has been selected to officiate all games.
