CAMBRIDGE - Head Coach Bahier's Sugarcreek-Shanesville Pirates' basketball organization , winners of the Tuscarawas County Class B Basketball Tournament for 1926 two weeks ago when they defeated the Bolivar Cardinals, was defeated in the 1st round of the Eastern District Ohio High School Class B Basketball Tournament at Cambridge Friday evening. They lost to the Frazysburg Red Raiders 21-11 after trailing nearly the whole game. The Sugartown drew a bye in the 1st round and didn't play their 1st game until 9PM Friday evening. Frazysburg won the 1st tournament game played at 9AM and defeated Caldwell High School 12-10.
The large floor had nothing to do with the defeat handed the Sugarcreek boys, but they had never played on the hardwood in Cambridge before and of course it was strange to them. Frazysburg is now required to play their semi-final game with St. Clairsville High School who defeated Bridgeport high 31-14 Friday evening in one of the fastest games of the tourney.

NOTE: So what's going on here and why out of sequence? I just forgot that Sugarcreek-Shanesville and Bolivar would go on to the District after the Tuscarawas Tournament. I gathered the research and since I am not a skilled computer type, I had to place the information here or not at all...sorry.
