23 - Strasburg Tigers Takes Down Dundee Bulldogs 36-8 (3-10-23)

DOVER - Dundee (0-1) never had a chance against Strasburg (1-0) in the 2nd act of the afternoon's bill.  The Strasburg five was so fast in the 1st quarter that the score left Dundee without a point, 16-0, that Coach Watkins had to relieve four of the five with substitutes.  And still the Bulldog boys were outclassed completely and were unable to keep the ball more than a few seconds at a time.  The half ended 24-4 and the 3d quarter posted a 28-7 lead.  Everhart was the only Dundee player to make a field goal for his team.  He scored 2 from the field, one in each half and picked up 3 foul shots for a total of 7 points, while his teammate, Walters, picked up a foul shot for 1 point.  Walters, the other Bulldog forward, stood out prominently in floor work, but his shooting was off color.  The Dundee guards were helpless before the charging Strasburg quintet.  Foster had 12 points with Doney and Goudy chipping in 6 for the Tigers.  Van Curen followed with 4 points and C. Norman 2.
