The 1953 Dundee Bulldogs Cheerleaders. Freshman Sandra Bose - Sophomore Irene Sliffe and Junior Vada Snyder.
DOVER - First-Year Head Coach Woody Gephart's Dundee Bulldogs (0-1) (6-16) (29-46) and the Port Washington Purple Riders' 7th-Year Head Coach Bray Toot (1-0) (13-7) (17-47) put on a cautious exhibition of basketball in the 1st two quarters and the game close all the way with Bulldog Senior guard Weldon Flynn dead-locking the count at 21-21 just as the 1st half ended. Huston and Sophomore forward Paul Frank pulled Port away on free throw shots and the Riders went into a partial stall to keep the lead.
Huston poured in 8 field goals and 7 free throws to lead the scoring pace with 23 points, while Frank added 12 and Kochner 10 markers respectively for Port. Flynn was high for the Bulldogs with 14 points and Hostetler tallied another 12 markers
