42 - Tusky Crushes Strasburg 41-27 (2-26-42)









DOVER - The Tuscarawas Broncos (3-0) (18-23) led the Strasburg Tigers (1-1) (52-13) all the way in a semi-final contest that had the Broncos sending the Tigers to it's 1st tournament defeat 41-27. 

Tusky leaped to a 9-3 score in the 1st quarter of play.  In the 2nd period, the Bronco defense held Strasburg to 9 points, while canning 12 points of their own...Tusky 21-12  The Davismen continued the onslaught by giving up only 5 points in the 3rd stanza, while popping 11 more points and more or less icing the game...Tusky 32-17.  Strasburg had their strongest quarter in the final dropping in 10 points; however, Tusky held their end up hitting the nets for 9 points.

Senior forward Charles Myers who has accumulated 39 points in this tournament was high scorer again with 14 points (5 field goals and 4 free throws, while his Bronco teammate, Senior center Angelo Cerqui  followed up with 11 points.  Junior forward Bob Roush, who scored all his points and his team's points in the 2nd period, was high for the Tigers with 9 markers.
