26 - Bolivar Slams Baltic 45-3 (2-26-26)








DOVER - In the 3rd game of the morning, the Bolivar Cardinals (1-0) (5-3) dropped the Baltic Eagles (0-1) (0-1) in Baltic's 1st tournament appearance.  Bolivar with their star forward, Harry Notter, out of the morning game, walloped Baltic's floor men.  Notter was being saved by Coach Walker of the Crimson and Grey Bolivar outfit for the afternoon game.

Junior center Randall Gerber of Bolivar, led all scorers with 10 field goals and 1 free throw for 21 points.  Senior forward Blain Shetler followed that up with 12 points, 6 field goals.  Senior guard Maurice Helwick swished 4 field goals for 8 points, while Senior guard Jim Fisher had 1 field goal and 1 foul shot for 3 points and Junior forward John Reigher had a foul shot for one point rounding out the Cardinal scoring.  Lower, a guard for the Baltic Eagles led his team with 2 points, a lone field goal, while foward Hawk made a foul shot for 1 point.
