41 - Dundee Holds On To Whip Strasburg 33-29 (2-27-41)

Dundee Bulldogs Forward Milton Fruchey won game honors by ripping the nets for 15 points (6 field goals and 3 free throws) against the Mighty Strasburg Tigers in a narrow 33-29 victory.  Fruchey is averaging 11 points a game in the tournament.

DOVER - The Dundee Bulldogs (2-0) (15-24), defeated 12-11 in a freak game at Strasburg last December, started at full speed, sinking almost every shot which came their way and at the end of the 1st quarter were far ahead 13-3.  The 2nd period saw 2nd-year Head Coach Sam Andrews of Strasburg send in an entirely new team.  The Tigers defense gave up only 1 Bulldog point, while the Burgers began hitting the hoops picking up 14 points by the end of the stanza and the scoreboard showed 17-14...Strasburg.

Strasburg climbed up to 25-22 at the end of the 3rd quarter, but Fruchey scored a bucket and a free throw early in the last quarter before leaving the game on personals with his team ahead 29-25.  The Tigers came up to 31-28 on 3 free throws by Junior guard Gene Hawk, but that was the end for in the last 2 minutes forward Junior Machan sank 2 free throws to give Dundee the victory.

Fruchey's 15 points was high for the Bulldogs, while Senior forward Earl Lengler and Hawk scored 8 points each to lead Strasburg.
