49 - Stone Creek Blows-Away Baltic 67-30 (2-18-49)









DENNISON - The Stone Creek Golden Panthers (1-1) (12-9) (13-31) roaring back after their loss Wednesday to the Sugarcreek-Shanesville Pirates (63-29), had no difficulty trimming the Baltic Eagles (0-2) (5-16) (24-40).

The Golden Panthers leaped to a 17-8 nine-point margin in the 1st quarter of court play.  The Panther lead was extended in the 2nd period to an 11-point lead at 25-14.  After intermission the Stone Creek offense increased their contro of the court hitting the nets for 26 points, increasing their lead to 31 points locking up the game in the 3rd stanza.  The Golden Panther Reserve Team entered the game producing another 16 points for Stone Creek's 1st tournament win.

Senior center Verle Buehler collected game honors by scoring 20 points for Stone Creek.  Senior center Bill Snyder of Baltic lead his team with 6 points as did his teammate, Senior guard Dean Miller, who also picked up 6 markers.
