DENNISON - Midvale's Champion Blue Devils, Mineral City Tigers, Sugarcreek-Shanesville Pirates and the Gnadenhutten Indians dominated the 12-man All-Tournament squad selected following Saturday night's final round of play at Dennison.  The decision to name a 12-man squad was reached after a survey of the 11 teams revealed many with 2 outstanding players.  Midvale placed 3 men on the list, Mineral City, Sugarcreek-Shanesville and Gnadenhutten each 2, while the Bolivar Cardinals, Port Washington Purple Riders and Stone Creek Golden Panthers each had one player on the first 12.

Last years'All-County Senior forward Jack Ford, Senior forward Dave Rennicker, 6-4 pivot man and Senior guard Jim Golder are Midvale's representatives.  Ford was again one of the tournament's outstanding performers even though he was handicapped by a kee injury.  Rennicker's height made the Blue Devil center a continuous threat, while Golder was one of the meet's outstanding floor men and ball handlers.

Senior Dan Lechner, Mineral City's great center and Senior Dick Lindsay, 6-3 forward, gained berths as the Tigers swept into the finals against Midvale.

The only 2 juniors on the squad are Sugarcreek-Shanesville's high scoring pair, guards Glenn Zimmerman and Jim Knox.  Zimmerman and Knox teamed to form a scoring combination that defeated Gnadenhutten in the Consolation Division finals.

Seniors Jim Lindon, brilliant Gnaden forward and Gene Montague were given berths on the squad because of outstanding work against Sugarcreek-Shanesville and Midvale.  Lindon poured 24 points through the nets against the Pirates.

One of the tournament's finest performer's Senior forward Dallas Seward of Bolivar, was named to the squad.  Seward's work was one of the big factor's in the Cardinal surge which eliminated the Strasburg Tigers.  Senior center Paul Day, Port Washington's offensive ace, gained a berth as did another high-scoring ace, Senior Verle Buchler of the Stone Creek Golden Panthers (not in the photo).

Ten players were placed on the Honorable Mention list.  The list includes:

Senior Guard Warren Binder (Mineral City Tigers)
Senior Center Paul Day (Port Washington Purple Riders)
Senior Forward Clayton Deetz (Sugarcreek-Shanesville Pirates)
Junior Forward Stan Immell (Dundee Bulldogs)
Junior Center Bob Sherrell (Midvale Blue Devils)
Senior Center Bill Snyder (Baltic Eagles)
Senior Guard Chuck Tawney (Bolivar Cardinals)
Senior Forward Hal Tharp (Tuscarawas Broncos)
