33 - Strasburg Coasts Against Carrollton 29-9 (3-3-33)

DOVER - The Strasburg Tigers (4-0) looked like a Class A Club last night when they humiliated a snappy Carrollton Warriors outfit, 29-9, in the 3rd game of last night's tournament session at Legion Hall.  The regulars blanked the Warriors 20-0 the entire 1st half and Head Coach Paul M. Roby ran in an entire 2nd team before the 3rd period was well under way.  The end of 3rd period found the Tigers up 24-0 and in the 4th and final period each team picked up 9 points each.

The winners looked like the Champions they are that 1st half with their regulars.  Junior forward John "Johnny" Studer, unstoppable, rattled 5 shots through the cords from a pivot position for 10 points under the basket and Sophomores forward Bill "Doddles" Haas and center George Denzer also stood out for Strasburg.  The Tigers will collide with the Newcomerstown Trojans' rangy outfit tonight and will be favorites to win and advance to the District finals at Dennison next week-end.
