33 - Head Coach Paul M. Roby, Strasburg Tigers, Specializes In Champions

DENNISON - Winning basketball championships is nothing new for Head Coach Paul M. Roby of Strasburg even though this is his 1st Eastern Ohio District Crown.  Coach Roby's record as a coach in the County Class B School System fairly reek with Champions.  After leaving the Head Coach position with the Midvale Blue Devils, he moved on to coach for the Strasburg Tigers where he has won the Tuscarawas County Class B Basketball League for 3 straight years (without a single loss) and bids well to repeat next season.  This year Coach Roby won the County League race and successfully defended Strasburg's title against the Sugarcreek-Shanesville Pirates in the Tuscarawas County Tournament and now cops the District Title.

Last year, Roby and his Tiger Team galloped through the League season and then captured the honors at the Tuscarawas County Tournament, but were beaten in the District final by the Sugarcreek-Shanesville Pirates.  His chances are exceptional for next year.  Out of his lineup Saturday night...John Studer, Bill Haas, George Denzer and Elwyn Reiger will return to play another season.  He loses only Captain Bill Jones and Fred Schenk, utility man.
