DENNISON - The Strasburg Tigers, Tuscarawas County Class B Basketball Champions, drew the toughest opposition it could find for its debut in the lower bracket of the Class B Division. The Tigers are scheduled to play the Byesville Colts of Guernsey County on Friday at 7PM. The Dennison Railroaders drew Vincent in the upper bracket of the Class B Division for the 1st game of the tournament on Friday at 12 noon. Amsterdam plays Dresden an hour later in the same bracket with the winners opening the semi-finals Saturday at 12 noon.
Emmett McCarroll, Principal of Dennison High School, is the Tournament Manager. A.N. "Chick" Smith and Robert Moore of Elyria will officiate. Admission prices for all sessions, except the finals, will be 35 cents for students and 50 cents for adults. Admission for the final session on Saturday night will be 50 cents for all. There will be no reserved seats. One winning team in each class will represent the District at the State Tournament in Columbus the following week.
