26 - 4th Annual Tuscarawas County Class B Basketball Tournament






DOVER - Eight teams have entered in the Tuscarawas County Class B Basketball Tournament to be held at the American Legion Hall on Saturday, February 26, it was announced Friday by T.G. Syler of Sugarcreek, Tournament Manager.  The 8 teams are:

Baltic Eagles
Bolivar Cardinals
Dundee Bulldogs
Gnadenhutten Indians
Mineral City Tigers
Tuscarawas Broncos
Strasburg Tigers
Sugarcreek-Shanesville Pirates

On Saturday at 9:30AM a drawing will be made to play the teams in the tournament and the 1st game will begin at 10:00AM.  During the morning the preliminary games will be  played.  In the Afternoon the semi-finals will be played off, then in the evening the two best teams will play in the finals.  As a preliminary game to the final contest in the evening, two girls teams, the best of any Class  B rating in Tuscarawas County will play for the county Class B title.  The competing teams are:

Strasburg Tigers
Tuscarawas Broncos

"Buck" McIntosh and "Monk" Gross, Class B League Officials, will referee the tournament games on an alternating basis.

*The Baltic Eagles did not participate in the league in the 1925-26 Season.
