28 - Head Coach Simukka Seeks Workouts On Larger Floor

STRASBURG - Strasburg High School will use the American Legion floor this week for practice sessions preparatory to leaving for the Ohio Class B Finals at Columbus next Friday and Saturday.  Head Coach Bill Simukka said on Monday.  Champions of all Class B teams in the Northern Division of the Eastern District, the Strasburg crew worked out all last week on the Strasburg floor, but Coach Simukka wants the boys to familiarize themselves with a large playing court before they leave for the Coliseum where State finals are to be played.

Governor A.V. Donahey was to make the drawings of teams in both Class A and Class B Divisions this week.  Coach Simukka said if his team played Friday morning they would leave Strasburg on Thursday night, staying overnight in Columbus.  If the team does not play until Friday afternoon; however, they will not leave until Friday morning, he said.  The same team that took Strasburg through to the county championship and through the District finals will represent the school at Columbus.  They are:

Senior Forward Bob Miller
Senior Forward Orval Deems
Senior Center Paul Sundheimer
Senior Guard Clyde Denzer
Senior Guard Paul Neidenthal
Senior Forward Cloyce Schumacher
Sophomore Guard Wilson Dreher
