THE CLASS B SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT - Here in Dover, there is a very good chance of getting at least one and possibly 2 representatives from our county in the District Tournament next week.  The Millersburg Knights and Big Prairie Lakeville Bulldogs, the 2 out-of county teams in the upper bracket, are tough teams.  The Knights hold victories over the Uhrichsville Tigers, Sugarcreek-Shanesville Pirates, Dover St. Joseph Ramblers and Baltic Eagles and if they get by Big Prairie Lakeville, will be a big hurdle for the Tournament Champion Midvale Blue Devils.

But, never-the-less, 2 county teams will get a crack at the winner of the Holmes County match, regardless of who wins between the Gnadenhutten Indians and Strasburg Tigers.  In the bottom bracket, the Killbuck Bucks seems to be the big question mark or dissenter for an all-county scrap.  Dellroy; although, the Blue Jets could be rough, doesn't seem to be a very big worry.

The Dennison St. Mary Blue Waves gets the 1st crack and the Dover St. Joseph Ramblers, who defeated Dellroy in the regular season, should be able to tackle the Carroll County Champions, should they get by the Blue Waves, but as to a winner between the Ramblers and Blue Waves, anybody can pick this one since each team holds a victory over the other.  The match between the 2 teams, if the Waves win their 1st game, will mean the rubber game between Head Coach Paul Drotovick, in his 1st year of coaching and his big brother Joe Drotovick.

At this stage of the game, we can visualize a very good possibility of having teams in the District Tournament from the county in Class B.

RE-HASHING - A prediction we made during the intermission of the Strasburg-Stone Creek game Saturday night seemed to draw a lot of attention and well it might, considering the dazzling finish of the Golden Panthers.  We said that it looked as though the Tigers had it in the bag.  They didn't.  Pardon us while we take our feet out of our mouth.

KEN HUSTON - He led the county coaches chosen as the Most Valuable Player and was really a popular choice with the fans.  Huston really gave a good account of himself all through Port Washington's games and the Purple Riders played 5 of the 7 nights.  The big lad will be back again next year.  He's the 2nd Junior to win the award.

THE IDEA - An original thought by the Strasburg Cheerleaders seemed to be a good one.  Bolivar's yell team was told that all the Cheerleaders would be at Saturday night's game in uniform.  Little did they know that they were the winners and as a result they showed up at the mike speechless, but happy.
