26 - Toronto Stops Bolivar 25-23 (3-13-26)










CAMBRIDGE - The Bolivar Cardinals were eliminated from the Eastern District Ohio High School Basketball Tournament on Saturday afternoon in their 2nd game.  After they had won their 1st contest on Friday afternoon 36-20 from the Philo Electrics, the fast Toronto Red Knights dropped the Coach Walker crew 25-23.  The contest was fast from beginning to end and saw both teams scoring in and out of the lead at different marvals.  Senior forward Harry Notter, the Bolivar scoring ace was  held to a long field tally by the Toronto Red Knights guard.  Senior Maurice Helwick, All Tuscarawas County Class B guard was the high point man for his team with 4 fields and 2 foul shots for a 10 point total.  Junior John Reiger scored 2 field goals and a foul shot from his forward position.  Burns, Toronto center, was the high score an for his aggregation with 4 action baskets and 2 free throws for 10 points.
