58 - Basketball Snowflakes From 1958

DOVER - Strasburg which just a couple of years back selected Ken Newlon, former Stone Creek Head Coach and present Canton Lincoln mentor, to be basketball Head Coach when Don Martin resigned, may hire another Stone Creek mentor.

We understand that Ed McGlumphy has been offered the Tiger post.  His acceptance would relieve Head Coach Chuck Caniford from the cage job and enable him to devote full time to his first love...football.

Ed has done wonders at Stone Creek, which is the smallest school in the county in number of boys enrolled.  Under McGlumphy's tutelage.  Rod Reinhart won an award as the Most Valuable Player in the County League for the season just closed.  He also was the county's leading Class A scorer.  A year ago MGlumphy had another outstanding performer in Ron Deibel.  (From RIGHT DOWN THE LINE With Norm Singleton)
