50 - The Tuscarawas Tournament At Memorial Hall This Year Reached 6,741








DOVER - According to the figures released by County Superintendent W.E. Laws, the 1950 Class B Tournament was attended by a total of 6,741 paying customers in the 7 night stand.  The take at the gate amounted to $4,070.84 as compared to $4,511.25 last year when a record high for a single night's attendance of 1,866 was set at Dennison.

This year's high was established on the semi-finals night when a paid attendance of 1,508 customers witnessed the Midvale Blue Devils and Sugarcreek-Shanesville Pirates as well as the Bolivar Cardinals and Stone Creek Golden Panthers battle.  The lowest finals night attendance in the last 7 years was had when but 1,174 paid fans saw the Championship games as compared to 1,644 last year.
